Enhance Wellbeing

Wellbeing matters. Without it, neither people nor animals can function effectively - or enjoy life!


Here at Animal Human Wellbeing, we think people tend to focus far too much on diets these days & cutting things out - and not enough about the nice things to enjoy in life.  Include a little bit of what makes you feel good regularly, and it can stop that eating a lot of it.  As Debra Waterhouse said in her book, "Why Women Need Chocolate", "an ounce of chocolate equals a pound of happiness."  (Check out my site called Chocolate Treats for Me)

Wellbeing is about more than dieting - it's about our wholeness, our overall feel-good factor.  Sometimes, I think the whole of the wellbeing industry has been so taken over by the diet industry, science & the nanny state, that we've all forgotten what wellbeing is all about. 

We all have our own ingredients of what wellbeing means to us, our own idea of what wellbeing looks like.  These ingredients are surely the things to focus on.  If we feel better about life, we feel happier & more in control, and so less inclined to comfort eat, drink too much, smoke too much etc

There's nothing like a good long walk in the countryside or on the beach to boost the spirit and get the blood flowing - and it's even better when it's followed by a cup of tea and slice of cake!

And if you're in the company of someone you love - a dog, horse, friends - that's even better!
